CEO Tips: CQs

You may have found yourself wondering what that check mark button is for in CEO's text editor. That, my friend, is the super useful CQ button.

CQ, or cadit quaestio, is latin for "the question falls". In editing, it indicates that a statement or fact has been verified. It's a simple way for a copy or desk editor to note that they've checked and verified a story element. Just highlight some part of the text in question and click the check. Or type CMD+D on Mac or CTRL+D on Windows for a quick short cut.

CEO will insert meta data with your name, date and version number indicating to anyone else looking at the story that you've verified the information. Pretty rad, eh?
