Mid-semester Updates from SNworks
Hello awesome SNworks clients!
Just before everyone heads out to the College Media 2018 Convention in Louisville we'd like to share a few mid-semester updates.
We've moved about half of our clients over to CEO 2.0 and its new front end system. The results have been fantastic. The system is faster, more resilient and provides each site far more flexibility than Gryphon ever could. CEO 2.0 brings client sites awesome new features like fast, dynamic caching, free SSL certificates, custom content types and super easy local development.
We'll be contacting everyone during the remainder of the semester to finish the conversions this year.
At the end of the year we will be retiring our FTP upload server. Unfortunately FTP is insecure by design and requires a tremendous amount of effort to maintain. While we've not had a security incident, we'd like to keep it that way and have made the decision to shut that service down.
For large file uploads, CEO 2.0 users can import directly from Box and Dropbox connected accounts. For sites using FTP for job processing, like classifieds, CEO provides a job processing plugin - please contact support for details.
We will also be retiring the Lobo print plugin at the end of the year. The Lobo system is our Adobe Creative Suite 6 plugin and has been replaced by CEO Connect for Adobe Creative Cloud. If you're a Lobo for CS6 user and haven't been upgraded to CEO Connect - please contact support ASAP.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone in Louisville!
Mike, Wade, Marty, Chris and the rest of the SNworks team.
